If I See It! It's Mine!
As an adult if it’s happening to you it’s happening through you.
When we are children there are things that happen to us that we are not in control of. A rite of passage into adulthood is that we take on the responsibility for our lives, this includes our experiences. When we take the time to really be present with our experience and ask questions with the intention of having the awareness, the lesson is revealed. Spirit cannot help but say yes.
I have been experiencing in several different areas of my life the feeling that I do not have the whole picture and that people change the game without letting me know. The awareness I had when I asked “Where do I do this in my life” has shown me that I too do this. I know in order for me to break the cycle of experiencing this and learn the lesson set forth in this experience I have to acknowledge and forgive myself for the many times I have done it. I acknowledge that I have not given all the information in dealing with others out of fear that they would not love me or that they would judge me or not want me based on who I am. The truth is some of the information I withheld I did not know I was withholding. The truth is I was the first to judge me and any other judgment comes from my own perception of guilt and shame. The truth is when I live my life from a place of truth and integrity I experience truth and integrity in every interaction. Sometimes this truth shows up as seeing a lie as a lie or as seeing the truth behind the lie. On this path of awakening that we are all on, it is so easy to see the fault in our brothers’ eye and not our own. I acknowledge that every time I find fault in you I find fault in me and it is only in seeking to see your light I can see my own.
Thought for Today:
Let’s treat each experience as money lying on the ground of life to see and treat it like we would a $100 dollar bill with no one else in sight. We don’t run around looking for its owner. We claim it as ours and thank God for the gift.
Today’s Affirmation:
If I see it, it is mine.
