When it comes to facing the past often times we react as though it is our present. When faced with the opportunity to look back and remember times in our life when we have experienced some level of trauma and we bring it forth in our memory our bodies respond as if we are experiencing the trauma all over again. When this happens we are unable to see it in the present (gift) so that who we are in this now moment can see the lesson and the gift. Today suspend the fear and the feelings tied to the memories and allow who you are in this moment to be more alive in you than the memory. Who you are is not the same person who was having that experience in the past. Who you are now is the person who is stronger because of it.
Today while meditating I experienced a memory that was at best shaded. It was more of a memory of a memory of something that happened when I was a child of perhaps five or six. I felt my body react in a way that was all about fear even though I am not conscious of what the reaction was about. This offered me an opportunity today to allow the emergence of healing whatever emotional, physical or mental trauma that happened to me at that time through conscious connection with my Higher Self. Today I choose to allow the scared five year old to heal in a safe place and remember what happened as the adult. I let the stronger, wiser me hold the space for it to transpire.
I am the expression of the Divine as the gift of memory.
I remember my connection to the Divine. I remember the times I thought I was unlovable and remember love is all I am. I remember the times I believed I was broken and remember the break was in my spirit and it was through that severance that I reached out to God and reach a deeper part of me that was whole. I remember the times when I felt that I hated myself and everyone around me and I recognize now that I was in search of love and couldn’t see it. I remember the days when I felt as though I couldn’t go on and I remember now that strength is what I am made of and that strength my inner strength saw me through. I remember the moment I fell down into the deepest depths of despair and I remember the day my faith was restored. I remember all I need to remember to remind me of who I am today. As I consciously remember my past, all of my past I unearth the value of all my experiences and remember the one thing I most need to remember, that I am a product of Divine Construction. I am and have always been whole, loved and lovable just as I am exactly as I am in every moment of my life. I remember that all the times I thought I wasn’t, was because I forgot so today I practice the art of remembering to remember.
In this right now moment I recognize the power and presence of God as my source, back of all things and center of my life. God is the backdrop to every memory shining forth the gift of remembrance as an emergence of the Christ within. I Am the remembrance of my highest most Holy -Self. I am the power of memory Divine. Every memory comes with it the lesson of love that brings it to a greater expression. I remember my Divine and Holy-Self now and recognize its existence as me. I remember this was the preserver of my life and I stand proud of its reemergence in me.
